Basic Bread Recipe By Sherly at 2007-03-21 14:21:58

400 gm. flour 20 gm. Butter 15gm. Sugar (1 tsp. = 5 gm.) 10 gm. Salt 10g. Milk powder (creamer) 2 tsp. Yeast
Take handful of flour and add milk powder, sugar, yeast and butter add warm water so that it could form a thick batter. Keep in a warm place for 10-15 minutes.
Take the remaining flour, add salt and add the yeast mixture from above in it. Then make soft dough adding little water at a time. Keep in a warm place for 45 minutes or until it doubles in quanitity. Then lightly kneed it and make the shape of bread or put in a greased bread mold. Again keep it in warm place for another 45 minutes or until double.
Brush it with oil or egg wash. Bake it in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. |
