By James Personal at 2007-08-16 12:47:17 Your documentary on Is Quran the Word of God? was excellent. Read mine on a similar subject at Stolen From The Bible (77) http://religioustruths.proboards59.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=biblical&thread=1187185327&page=1

By truth seeker at 2006-12-15 12:15:49 Sajita, How are you. I hope fine. You can say, I am a unitarin beleiver of God - I don't like labeling myself. I read gita, bible, quran, tripitok etc. and find that they all have that sparkle - when you look for them. Obviously, the books are ancient and have gone their share of ravage through time - and I see that. I do not try to deny the obvious, but try to understand the message behind the context - may be I will learn something that can help me in life. I have found that we first worship our culture and then try very hard to fit our God into it (sometimes even if it means convoluted explanations)- why are we christians, or muslims, or buddists - may be becuase we are born in that and in a way brain washed / comofrtable in the religious culture; and we try hard without taking the moral/ethical duty to step out of it for a moment and try to be as impartial as possible. I know very well that there are some subjects (such as religion, politics etc.) that is almost worthless arguing over - only a sensible discussion can help learn some thing. In that spirit, I ask you to please post all the verses in bible that refers to Jesus, as claiming or implying to be GOD? You can divide that into: What Jesus Says and What others say. I have found that the original King James Version is based on a 16th or 17th century manuscript (not considered a good one by most christian scholars today for good reasons - see Dr. Bart Ehrman) - I guess my point is there are bible translations availble based on older manuscripts that you can also refer to such as RSV, NIV and such. For those of us who beleive in God - hopefully we do it for seeking the truth (not necessarily current interpretations of any religion)- and not to satisfy our cultural ego or to worship our culture. Stay well and I wish you well in your effort, hopefully, in search of God's intended message to humanity. Thanks Sorry for staying anonimous
