Jesus Cleanses a Leper

Leprosey was healed by Jesus. and Lepor became completely healed. Jesus still heals whatever the sickness may be.

Mat 8:1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

"If anyone is in Christ" suggests to me that there are people who are in Christ and there are people who are not in Christ. Paul is saying that those who are in Christ posses some distinct qualities.

Those qualities are
1.) They are a new creation
2.) Their old habbits, old nature is gone away and they are totally new.

Preaching from wisdom or from something else

Today I was reading 1 Cor chapter 1 and found something interesting.
Paul one of the best theologian, known in that time, is speaking that he is not going to speak from the wisdom of words. Instead he is going to preach that glorifies the meaning and purpose of Cross.

1 Cor 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

How to get saved

Paul deals with this subject in much detail in his writings. He makes it very clear that a person can not be receive salvation from his sins by works of righteousness. He also goes on saying that one can not earn salvation.

Man has sinned and every single person in the whole world is a sinner. His sins can not be blotted out by doing works of righteousness because Bible says that our works of righteousness are just filthy rags in the sight of God.

So how can one be saved?
