Description: Linux in the Classroom was founded in 1995, and is the longest running group dedicated to the advocacy of open source software in education, focusing on K-12 schools. LITC accomplishes its goals by providing information packages and resources (in the form of human capital, for example) to schools interested, and promoting to those schools who may not be aware of the benefits of open source software. LITC also advocates to businesses, at tradeshows, and to the government the benefits of open source.
