Soaring in Belgium: Federations & Associations
Belgium has a federal government structure, reflecting the existence of Flanders (Dutch speaking)
and Wallonia (French speaking part of the country). This division is also visible in the way air
sports are organised. Below the national level there are two regional soaring associations (LVZC
and FCFVV). A third significant player in the Belgian soaring scene are the Belgian Air Cadets
(sponsored by the Belgian Air Force, with squadrons in both parts of the country).
