Trinity College, University of Dublin: Department of Sociology With the recent addition of a new chair in Sociology, Prof. Bob Holton, the Department at TCD is a thriving research community. The Department feeds into the infamous BESS (Business, Economics and Social Studies) course and also runs graduate programmes in Ethnic and Racial Studies (Dr. Ronit Lentin) and Applied Social Research (Dr. Evelyn Mahon). The department includes a highly successful Employment Research Centre, under the guidance of Prof. James Wickham.
